The Russian energy giant Gazprom is increasing the amount of natural gas it transfers to Turkey, the company announced on Thursday.
Company spokesman Sergei Kupriyanov said that the transfer of natural gas to Turkey via the Blue Stream pipeline had been doubled to 37 million cubic meters as of Wednesday.
Kupriyanov added that Gazprom had increased the amount after an explosion ripped through the Iran-Turkey natural gas pipeline in the Agry province on August 25.
