Russia to build fast breeder reactors for China

Russia will
construct two fast breeder reactors in China. This will be the 3d and the 4th
units of the Tianwan nuclear power plant, said the head
of Russia's Rosatom energy corporation Sergey Kiriyenko who is currently on a
visit to Beijing.
The contract may be signed by late 2010.
Earlier this year Russia finished the construction of the 1st and the second 2d
reactors for the Tianwan plant.
Kiriyenko said Russian-made breeder reactors are the most modern and the safest.
