31 August 2010

Moscow and Beijing are close to a final agreement on supplying Russian gas to China.
A document in this respect may be ready by September, Russia's gas giant Gazprom reported Monday.
A memorandum on gas supplies was signed in 2006, but its implementation was protracted as the parties failed to agree on the price.
Now the issue has been settled. China will get gas from Western and Eastern Siberia through a newly built pipeline.
