EU strengthens financial control

EU members have agreed on strengthening financial control to prevent a new crisis, Michel Barnier, European Commissioner responsible for financial regulation, stated on Monday in Brussels.
He said the recent financial crisis was triggered by uncontrolled markers and now the EU ministers of Finance are to adopt a new agreement to provide for better control.
